Matcha Frappe Free Crochet Pattern

Materials

  • Yarn in white, light green and dark green
  • 5mm hook
  • 10mm safety or felt eyes
  • Black scrap yarn for mouth
  • Darning needle
  • Stitch marker
  • Scissors

Abbreviations

  • MR: magic ring
  • SC: single crochet
  • ST: stitch
  • INC: increase
  • FLO: front loop only
  • BLO: back loop only

Cup

In light green yarn:

1: make 6sc into mr (6)

2: inc in each st around (12)

3: 1sc, inc. Repeat around (18)

4: 2sc, inc. Repeat around (24)

5: sc in BLO of each st around (24)

6-12: in both loops, sc in each st around (24)

Fasten off.

Attach eyes between round 9 and 10, roughly 5 stitches apart

 

Lid:

In white yarn:

1: make 6sc into a mr (6)

2: inc in each st around (12)

3: 1sc, inc. Repeat around (18)

4: 2sc, inc. Repeat around (24)

5: 3sc, inc. Repeat around (30)

6-7: sc in each st around (30)

8: in FLO, sc in each st (30)

Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing

 

Straw

In dark green yarn:

1: make 4sc into a mr (4)

2-6: sc in each st (4)

Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing

 

Assembly

Attach the straw to centre of the lid

Attach the lid to the cup by sewing between rounds 7 and 8 of the lid, this will create the lip of the lid

Sew on the mouth using black yarn
